Several weeks ago I was scrolling through Tik Tok and came across a video of a lady who mentioned she bought her jeans in the Wal-Mart men’s department and cut them off. She said they were her new favorite jeans. In hindsight, I probably should have saved the video or atleast wrote her name down so I could give credit where credit is due but I didn’t really think much about the video at the time. Last week I was killing time in Wal-Mart & remembered the video. I rolled over to the men’s department & grabbed the first pair of jeans I found that caught my eye. (I am drawn to light-ish denim & distressed knees.) I took them home & quickly cut them off. Y’all! These are officially my new favorite jeans! After posting them on Insta, I got several messages asking me for deets so here ya go.

If you’re not into reading, or are a visual learner, scroll to the bottom for a how-to video.
Step 1: Grab yourself a pair of men’s jeans from Wal-mart. Mine are No Boundaries. Slim Fit is the cut. Length isn’t uber important since you’re going to cut these off. I paid $17.88 for the pair.
Step 2: Decide where you want to crop them off at. I eyeballed it. Error on the side of caution. You can always cut them shorter or roll them up.
Step 3: Snip Snip. Cut ’em off.
Step 4: Put on your new favorite jeans!
That’s it! Cheap & easy. If you end up not liking them, you can always cut them off into denim shorts for the summer. Don’t be surprised if I buy another pair or two for that exact purpose! If you give this DIY a try, let me know how you like your new jeans!
